Imagine a giant rolling mill, with two massive metal cylinders. Here’s where the magic (or should we say, science) happens:


- Pre-Heating and Rough Rolling: The aluminum starts as a thick block, heated and passed between the rollers several times to get it thinner.
- The Final Rolling Stage: Now comes the key part. The (somewhat) thin aluminum goes through a final rolling pass, but not just by itself! Two sheets are fed together.
- Shiny Side Superstar: The side that makes direct contact with the smooth rollers polishes up, becoming the shiny star of the show.
- The Protected Matte Side: The other side? It faces its partner during the rolling, resulting in a matte finish because it doesn’t get the same smooching from the rollers.
Why Not Double the Shine?
